Event: Remembrance Sunday
Join us on November 10th for Remembrance Sunday, a solemn day of reflection and gratitude as we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service during the World Wars and other conflicts. Observed on the Sunday closest to Armistice Day (November 11th), this day offers us the opportunity to pause and remember the sacrifices made for peace and freedom.
The central act of Remembrance Sunday is the Two Minutes of Silence, during which we honor those who have fallen in war, as well as the veterans and families who continue to carry the weight of those sacrifices. It is also a time to pray for peace and reconciliation in a world still marked by conflict and division.
Event Highlights:
- Special Remembrance Service: A remembrance service will be held, including prayers for the fallen, hymns of hope and peace, and the laying of wreaths in honor of those who have died in service.
- Two Minutes of Silence: At 11:00 AM, we will observe two minutes of silence to remember those who gave their lives in the pursuit of peace and justice. This moment of reflection allows us to pause and express our deep gratitude.
- Prayers for Peace: Special prayers will be offered for peace in our world today, for the healing of nations, and for all those still affected by the trauma of war.
As we come together on Remembrance Sunday, let us honor the memory of those who served with courage and selflessness, and renew our commitment to building a world rooted in peace and understanding. All are welcome to join us for this moving and reflective service.
